'The Thing In The Basement'

Fake movie poster I made, part of a much larger series I just began working on. As you can probably tell, it's in homage to gore flicks form the 70's, a la H.G. Lewis.

I took the photo using natural candle light with a red reflector. Model was my wife, in our basement.

Then I traditionally illustrated and inked the monster. Scanned it in, and colored it digitally to match the red lighting from the photograph.

The actual movie logo was traditionally drawn as well, scanned in and added. The rest of the text was added digitally as a last step.

If anyone likes this, leep an eye out as I'll have a few different ones soon with another model, paying homage to other movies form the past, mixing my photography with my illustration.
